Our 2026 launch schedule includes NINE high power launches (eight at Brothers, one at Sheridan) and six low-power launches (Garden Home/Portland). All launches are subject to change due to weather or fire; watch for E-mail from OROC or check our website homepage or the Facebook group page for last-minute information.
Low Power Launches
Garden Home Park launches have moved to the second Saturday of the month, May through November; excluding September. All launches are from 10–1, with setup starting at 9:30. In 2026 the dates are:
May 9
June 13
July 11
August 8
October 10
November 14
High Power Launches
For the third consecutive year, OROC has scheduled an HP launch in November at Brothers. Also this year we’ve also added one in the spring. AND this year we’re trying an experiment of having a launch every 3 weeks in the peak season, which means a new one added in June as well! The launches at the edges of the season (marked with an asterisk below) are especially subject to weather conditions, as snow and ice have been known to hit Central Oregon in early November, and the field has been known to still be a muddy mess in April, let alone March, so monitor your Email and Facebook for last-minute announcements about the launch status before venturing out there. And of course fire conditions could easily shut us down in July. So these launches we recommend being extremely careful about getting non-refundable travel plans.
Launches begin at approximately 12 Noon on the first day (usually Friday) or whenever the range is set up and declared open until 6 PM; Saturday’s schedule opens at 8 AM until 6 PM, and Sunday launches run from 8 AM until approximately 1 PM. Night launches on Friday and Saturday are at the discretion of that weekend’s Launch Director.

Flight Cards
OROC uses a pair of standard flight cards, PDFs of which are provided here for your home printing needs. It is highly recommended to print on card stock, and to avoid coated papers.
Layout Options
- Four per page. These PDFs have the basic layout of the flight card, in 4 copies. You can add text fields in your PDF editor of choice to layout your answers.
- For Press Printing. This is the version of the file that we use to print cards in bulk on card stock. It has the bottom half of the page upside down to facilitate easier cutting
- With PDF Fields (experimental). This version of the flight card has PDF fill-able fields defined for all the data on it. This should allow the card to be filled in easier on any PDF editor. There are four copies of the flight card per document (four pages). It is suggested to fill cards in and then print them in groups of four, using your printer dialog to arrange 4 pages per sheet on US Letter size paper. If you choose to use this card, please check back often for updated versions, and please let me know how it works. I’d love feedback on what software you used to fill it in and how that went, any problems you ran into, and any solutions you found to them that others may be able to benefit from.
Flight Classes
Flight cards are divided into two classes, based on the power of the motor(s):
- Low Power (Simplified) flight card. This card has fewer items required and a bit more space, it is intended for junior fliers and is limited to Low Power engines F and below.
- General flight card. This card is required for all high power flights.
