Membership in OregonRocketry entitles you to a host of benefits for the calendar year (January 1 – December 31), including:
- No launch fees ($10 or $20 per launch weekend for non-members)
- Members only launch days
- Members only email list
- Voting privileges
- 10% discount on Big Red Bee Beeline products
- Use of OregonRocketry launch support gear
- Use of OregonRocketry waivers and launch sites
- Special opportunities and events
Membership Fees
Current membership fees:
- Individual membership: $40
- Family membership: $50 (per bylaws, a family is defined as one adult, or two cohabiting adults, and dependent children)
For first-year members the fees will be reduced by $20. Also, for junior members (under 18, not part of a family membership) the membership fee will be $20.
Families will receive one vote.
You will receive a confirmation email after submitting your membership application. A few days later, you will receive a “virtual” membership card in PDF format. You may retain that as proof of membership, or you may print it and put it in a badge holder and wear it at club launches in lieu of a wristband (please check in at the Registration table so we can track attendance). Note that membership cards will be delayed in the early months of the year, as they will be processed in a batch before the first launch event of the season.
How to Join
We’ve gone electronic! Here is the link to our membership form. The first page includes the legal waivers to attend launches at Brothers and Sheridan. Even if you don’t plan to attend launches at one or the other site, you must fill out the waiver page before continuing to the next page to fill out the membership form. At the bottom of the form, select your membership type and submit payment via PayPal. Note that you do not need a PayPal account to pay with a credit or debit card.
Upon completing and submitting the form, you should receive a confirmation email from the OregonRocketry site’s data processor, POWR.io, as well as a PayPal receipt.
Launch Fees
There are no launch fees for any of our low power launches at Garden Home Park. Please come and bring your friends.
For our high power launches in Brothers and Sheridan the non-member launch fees will be $20 per weekend for high power flying, or $10 if you only intend to fly low and mid-power motors (A through G). An entire family can fly together for only $30.
Adults wishing to fly at Brothers must be an insured member of TRA, NAR, or another recognized national club. Please have your membership card handy when you visit the registration table. Minors wishing to fly at Brothers must either be a member of TRA, NAR, or another recognized national club, OR have a signed TRA Minors waiver on file. We have hard copies at registration.
Coordinated groups of flyers should look at the Group Launch process to save money on launch fees if they only plan to attend a single high power launch a year.
Spectators
You are welcome to come and watch any of our launches for free, but everyone on the property must stop by registration to check-in and sign the waiver, which you can do online ahead of time, it’s good for the calendar year.
